Guest Blogger- Susan Brown!!!

Hi Everyone,

It's Guest Blogger Day here at Stampin' Queen Creations! What does that mean you ask? Well, it means that every Friday I will take off my crown and pass it on to a fabulous professional designer who's work I respect more than words can say. Today I pass my crown to professional designer, Susan Brown!!!

I don't know Susan that well, but I really respect her work! When I put a call out looking for Guest Bloggers, Susan emailed me and said she'd love to do it. When I went to check out her blog, I got so excited! Susan is a very talented designer and I'm so happy she agreed to do this with me!

Susan works on a number of design teams as a mixed media artist and graphic designer. She loves to dabble in photography, assemblage, collage and whatever else strikes her fancy. Susan says that she likes to work in the dark while the rest of the world sleeps. She sounds like lots of other designers that I know!

I picked this project of Susan's for a couple of reasons. It's a beautiful card that can be created for family and friends. The card is done in blues! (my favorite color!!!) and the card is just gorgeous in it's simplicity. I just love it!!!! For more information about this beautiful card, please visit Susan's blog at www.sbartist.blogspot.com

Susan, thank you so much for allowing me to showcase your beautiful work on my blog. I appreciate it so much! I look forward to seeing more of your designs and I hope if you make it to CHA, we'll get the chance to meet in person!

Thank you for joining me. Until next time...

Wordless Wednesday- Animal Print Earring Tree

Wordless Wednesday's are the days that I post just a project without instructions or a supply list.

Hi Everyone,

The project I'm sharing with you today is one that I created for my friend's daughter. Her bedroom was done in animal print and she wanted something for her earrings that would match.

This projects is very easy to create. I used a scrap piece of material that I had, cut it in a crazy shape of a tree. I stuffed it added a dowel and base and decorated it! That simple!!! I hope you have as much fun created one for yourself or maybe a Christmas gift. It's very fun & funky and any tween would love one!

Thank you for joining me. Until next time...

Autumn's All Around

Hi Everyone,

I completed this project for the KellyCraft Blog and I thought I would share it here with you!

I am back with another great project using the KellyCraft Get-it-Straight Laser Square. I know that I have said it before, but really, I love this product! This tool is what I call my all-in-one! I have been stamping for many years and I can't tell you how many times my project is almost finished and I stamp that last image only to have it not stamp completely on my paper. How frustrating! Well, with my Get-it-Straight Laser Square not only can I line my page elements up perfectly, I can also use it to re-stamp my incomplete images. I am so in love!

This project is a fairly simple to create and sunflowers for me, always remind me of Autumn. With the stamped sunflower and a few embellishments, you have a wonderful project that you can hang on the wall or sit it on your table. And for a beautiful table centerpiece, place your frame on a table next to a vase filled with sunflowers. Now that would be very, very pretty.

Thank you for joining me. Until next time...

On Vacation! Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Hi Everyone,

I have decided to take the week off and enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday with my family! Before I go I wanted to tell you what I'm thankful for on this wonderful holiday.

I am so thankful for many things in my life, but mostly I'm thankful for my family, my friends, my furkids, all things crafty, and my faith. Without any of those things I would be lost. So, I want to say thank you to everyone in my life. You have all made such a huge impact on my life and I hope and pray that I have made an impact on yours. Because it's not about the people that you love that really matters, it's about the people who love you.

I wish for all of you to have a blessed holiday surrounded by the people who love you. And if you can't be with those you love, I hope that you will be with them shortly! Have a Happy Thanksgiving and try not to eat too much!!! I'll see you in a week!

Thank you so much for joining me. Until next time...

Guest Blogger- Deborah Anderson!!!

Hi Everyone,

It's Guest Blogger Day here at Stampin' Queen Creations! What does that mean you ask? Well, it means that every Friday I will take off my crown and pass it on to a fabulous professional designer who's work I respect more than words can say. Today I pass my crown to my friend, professional designer, Deborah Anderson!!!

I have to admit I don't know Deborah at all. A little while ago she became a CHA Designer member and she contacted me about being added to our CHA Designer Discussion List. We corresponded back and forth during the process but once I got her all settled we didn't talk again. When I put the call out for Guest Bloggers, Deborah contacted me and asked if she could be included. I told her that I would put her on my list.

Today, as I was preparing for this post I realized it was Deborah's turn on the throne. I never put anyone on my blog unless I know them and their work. I thought it was time to check out Deborah's blog to see if I could showcase her work on my blog. So, off I went to check out Deborah's blog.

Wow! Oh Wow! was about all I could manage to say! As I sat at my computer looking at her absolutely gorgeous work, I realized my mouth was hanging wide open!!! Thankfully no one was around to see that! I could not believe what I was seeing. Picture after picture there were nothing but beautiful polymer clay creations. AMAZING work!!!!!

I am only showcasing this one design of Deborah's, but I'm asking you to please check out her blog to view more of her wonderful work. I know you'll be blown away as I was!!!

Deborah, I know that we don't know each other, but if you're going to the CHA winter show I would love to meet you in person. Your work totally blows me away and I would love to tell you that in person! Thank you so much for allowing me to showcase your work. For me, it was an absolute pleasure!!!

Thank you for joining me. Until next time...

Wordless Wednesday- Card with Chalks

Wordless Wednesday's are the days that I post just a project without instructions or a supply list.

Hi Everyone,

For today's Wordless Wednesday I am sharing a card I made a few years back. The card is colored with chalk pencils from Faber-Castell. My very favorite way to add color to all of my projects.

If you haven't tried chalk pencils before, go out and buy a set. You will love how they blend together and you can achive a very beautiful watercolor effect if you use them with a blender pen or chalk enhancer.

Thank you for joining me. Until next time...

All About Me!!!

Hi Everyone,

As a craft designer, I rarely create a project that is just for me. It's usually for a manufacturer, or an editor, a family member, or a friend. I know that you all know what I'm talking about, because most of you are crafters also!

Well, for this project I decided to create a project that is all about me!!  Okay, I realized that it's a little narcissistic, but hey we all deserve a little pampering right? We all deserve to sit in our studios and create something that revolves around us, at least once in a while!!!

That is exactly what I did with this project. And everyone that knows me knows that I just love lots of color, glitter, and bling! This album has it all. It really was a blast to create because since it's a project about me, I was able to create it all just the way I wanted it. It was very liberating!!!

So, the next time to decide to create a new project, make it all about you. You'll have so much fun you might want to do it again...and again...and again! (hee hee)

Thank you for joining me. Until next time...

Designer Craft Connection- Thank you Gifts!

Hi Everyone,

Once again it’s the first Monday of the month and that means it’s time for another fun & fabulous blog hop with the professional craft designers from DesignerCraft Connection.
This month the theme for our hop is thank you gifts and with Thanksgiving right around the corner, I think it's very appropriate.

My project for today is a thank you card that is also a gift card holder. I have never been what I call a great gift giver. My husband is the best gift giver in the world! He always knows what to buy. For me it's a little harder, so I love to give gift cards or money. I know that it seems impersonal but I always figure that then the person can buy what they really want. So, anytime I can turn a card into a gift card, I just love that!

For more great projects, be sure to click on the Designer Craft Connection blinkie that is on the right side of my blog. The blinkie will take you to all of the fabulous designers that are participating in this blog hop.

I also want to tell you about the new special Thanksgiving edition that is now available as a FREE download from Bella Crafts Quarterly. Inside this special edition you'll find a FREE downloadable Thanksgiving place setting project and some Thanksgiving memories from the Bella Crafts Creative Team. We'll also give you a sneak peek into our next issue, Winter Journey, that is due out December 1st. You won't want to miss either issue, so head on over to our website at www.bellacraftsquarterly.com and get your FREE issues now!

PS~ The 3rd part of my 3 part series on Bracelets & Boxes will be posted on this Wednesday, November 7th. Check back with me on Wednesday!

Thank you for joining me. Until next time...

Guest Blogger- Kristi Parker Van Doren!!!

Hi Everyone,

It's Guest Blogger Day here at Stampin' Queen Creations! What does that mean you ask? Well, it means that every Friday I will take off my crown and pass it on to a fabulous professional designer who's work I respect more than words can say. Today I pass my crown to my friend, professional designer, Kristi Parker Van Doren!!!

Kristi is a new friend of mine. She works on a few Design Teams and she is the head of the Design Team for Connie Crystal. A few months ago she asked me if I would like to join the Connie Crystal Design Team and I jumped at the chance. You all know how much I love bling! And Connie Crystal has nothing but bling!!!  Then we spoke a little while later when she decided to become a professional designer with CHA. I got her all signed up so now she can add that to her already impressive resume.

Kristi is an amazing designer and she is so great at what she does that she works on quite a few different Design Teams! Kristi has been involved with paper crafting for over thirty five years and has taught at her local rubber stamp and scrapbooking stores as well as special events. She is also a previous store owner! Kristi has demonstrated her talents for several companies at the CHA trade shows and she been published in various magazines through the years.

Kristi's project that I'm sharing with you today is just stunning! I am only going to give you a sneak peek of it because I really want you to head over to her blog to get the full instructions and to see the close up pictures of this project. The details on the project are absolutely fantastic!!!  For more information on Kristi's project, visit her blog at
http://www.kristiscreativecafe.blogspot.com/2012/10/spooky-with-happy-haunting-from-graphic.html. Scroll down just a little and you'll see it.

Kristi, thank you so much for allowing me to showcase your work on my blog. It means a lot to me and I appreciate it very much! I look forward to working with you more on the Connie Crystal Design Team and I can't wait to meet you at CHA in January!

Thank you for joining me. Until next time...
