Today is part 3 of my 4 part series on cell phone cases. This case is also velvet stamped like last week but it has a different look to the trim and fabric. This case would be great for a night on the town. And remember if you choose to create one of these velvet stamped cases, that you can change the look by using a different color of velvet and trim.
I hope that you have a chance to create one of these cell phone cases for yourself or to give as a gift. They are simple to make but elegant to look at, and don't forget the fact that you never have to dig through your purse again! I'd make 10 of them for that reason alone!! INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1. Set iron on wool or cotton setting with no
steam. Lightly mist the back side of the velvet. Place the stamp rubber side up
on your ironing board. Lay fabric right side down against the stamp.
Step 2. Press the iron to fabric, hold for 10 to 20
seconds and lift up the iron carefully, being careful not to move the fabric. Repeat pattern until
fabric is covered.
NOTE: Avoid iron holes and practice first on a piece
of scrap material
Step 3. Cut material to measure 11”L x 4 ½”W. Turn each
end under ½” press and sew. With right sides together, sew each side ½” from edge of material. Cut
excess material close to stitching. Turn material inside out
Step 4. With needle and thread, stitch cording to each
side of phone case. Glue trims to top and bottom edge with fabric glue.

Hi Lisa, I have been wanting to make some kind of cellphone holder for sometime now. I'm like you and can't stand digging in my purse for it. I've tried putting it in my pocket but again by the time I get my hands free to pull it out I've missed the call. Anyway I've looked at lots of cellphone purse patterns and haven't found one I liked until I ran a cross yours! I'm definitely headed to my crafty store today and purchase enough of the materials to make several of each!! Thank you for a fantastic pattern and such adorable purses!
