They're great dogs to have and I know you'll be so happy with him. In answer to your question, yes that is a crate in the picture. We use them with all of our girls and we love them. The sizes we have are medium and it gives them plenty of room to move around in. If you're thinking about crating your puppy, my advise is to read up about it and know what you're getting into first before you buy. I hope that helps.
